Shanidar

This piece contains some special beads I purchased locally in Texas. I had been eyeing them for a long time not sure what I could do with them. I went into the shop a few weeks ago and finally decided I had to turn them into something because they felt so special to me. These beads, Susannah Beads are the living legacy of a Chicago based ceramic artist who made these beads throughout her life, up until she was diagnosed with Alzheimers and could no longer do it. Each bead is handmade stoneware or porcelain. Im grateful I discovered these and was able to create a few special pieces with them.

18k gold plated hardware and findings, glass evil eye, metallic gold titanium coated lava bead, sarpacham charm from Kurdistan. 15 inch chain with extension.
