This issue features essays on a stippled ceramic Aegean Bronze Age jar and the ancient imitation of ostrich-eggshell vessels; crucifixes by German sculptor Veit Stoss in the years around 1500; images of Nahua women at war in early colonial Mexico; photographer Edward S.
