These pieces are 100% giveback. All proceeds from sales from these earrings will be donated to the Yemen Foundation. They do incredible work raising awareness about the crisis in Yemen with heads of state and governments/policymakers around the world specifically the United States but they also provide food to thousands of families, financial support to orphans, and essentials the people need during this COVID-19 pandemic to prevent spread. What has been happening in Yemen is the worlds biggest humanitarian/famine crisis and I urge you to not only educate yourself more if you are unfamiliar but to also give what you can. We reject all forms of coercion, violence, and oppression against the civilian population of Yemen. We promote the ideals of an open society and support the right of people to be informed, healthy and safe.

Why Yemen?

Since March 2015, Yemen has been experiencing a brutal war and a siege that has severely restricted the commercial import of food and medicine. Most food factories and businesses were bombed creating the largest humanitarian crisis in the world. Today, 24 of the 29 million people in Yemen require aid, 19 million are food insecure, and almost half of the population of Yemen 14 million are at risk of famine, 5 million of which are children. Finally, Many Yemenis in the areas affected by the escalation of war have fled to safer places in other Governorates resulting in over 3 million internally displaced people. YRRF was established to provide relief to those in need in Yemen. We reach the most inaccessible areas due to geography or security risk.
